RESORT GUIDELINES

We hope your visit, and that of others, is as enjoyable as possible.
Please review and follow these guidelines.
If anything is not to your satisfaction, please bring it to the attention of the staff.

Check-In Regulations:
Check-In: 12:00 Noon
Check-Out: 11:00 am
Late checkout available until 1:00 pm if campsite will not be in use.
Inquire at the Resort Office by 10:00 am if a late checkout is desired. A fee will be charged.
1.
All parties must register at the Resort Office prior to occupying campsites.
2.
Campsite rental charges are due upon arrival.
3.
All vehicles must be registered and a car pass displayed at all times.
4.
Visitors must register at the Resort Office. A fee for day and overnight visitors is required and passes must be obtained from the Resort Office. All visitors must be accompanied to the pool and community center by a registered camper. Day visitors must leave the campground by quiet time.
Campsite Regulations:
1.
Only one RV/camper per campsite and a maximum of 6 people per campsite.
2.
Tenters may have 1 large or 2 small tents on a campsite. Tents are not permitted on a campsite with an RV/camper.
3.
Quiet hours:
10:00 pm to 8:00 am Sunday through Thursday
11:00 pm to 8:00 am Friday through Saturday
Radio and TV volume must be kept to a minimum.
4.
Parents or other adults arriving with children are responsible for the conduct of those children. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the recreational areas and may not be left in the Resort unsupervised. All children under 18 must be back at their campsite during quiet hours.
5.
Do not cut or damage any living trees or shrubs.
6.
Do not trespass in the Quarry area and adjoining lakeshore dump area or any other posted restricted areas.
Trash Removal Regulations:
1.
Please deposit only household trash and recyclables in the dumpsters located in the Trash and Recycling area.
2.
Do not place trash in the recycling bin and review the recycling guidelines on the container.
3.
Burning trash in your campfire is a violation of local, state and federal regulations.
4.
Please help us maintain a neat and clean bathhouse by not dumping your personal garbage in the bathhouse trash cans.
5.
Dumping wastewater on the ground is a violation of Vermont State Health law.
Vehicle Regulations:
1.
All motorized vehicles, including golf carts, must be registered with the Resort Office.
2.
All motorized vehicles in the Resort will display valid passes issued at the Resort Office.
3.
Only licensed drivers may operate motorized vehicles, including golf carts, within the Resort.
4.
Obey a speed limit of 15 MPH.
5.
Use designated roadways only. Do not walk or drive through other campsites.
6.
No more than two vehicles are permitted on any campsite. Boats and trailers are considered a vehicle. Use designated areas for extra vehicles. Storage fees may apply.
7.
No motorcycle riding on the premises. They may only be used to enter or exit the Resort.
8.
No riding of ATV's, motorized scooters, mopeds, or minibikes.
9.
All motorized vehicles and bicycles must have lights and tail lights/reflectors installed and operating during hours of darkness.
10.
Overnight occupancy of vehicles, other than a self-contained RV, is prohibited.
11.
Parking on vacant campsites without authorization from Resort Management is prohibited.
Pet Regulations:
1.
No more than 2 pets (dog or cat) are allowed per campsite.
2.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times when outside and may not be left unattended.
3.
Dog breeds of an aggressive nature are not allowed. Resort Management reserves the right to determine the acceptability of any pet.
4.
Pet owners must pick up after pets and properly dispose of their waste in the dumpster in the trash area.
5.
Noisy or unruly pets or those that cause complaints will not be allowed to remain in the resort.
6.
Pets are not allowed in common areas, recreational areas or neighbors' campsites. Service animals are excluded.
7.
Pet owners will be liable for all damages caused by their pet.

COMMUNITY CENTER GUIDELINES

Hours of Operation: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Daily
1.
Smoking is not permitted in the Community Center or in any Resort building.
2.
Scheduled Resort activities and prior reservations have priority use of the library and multi-purpose use room.
3.
Resort Management reserves the right to refuse the use of any and all facilities to a person who
violates any Resort Guidelines or Resort Policies.
4.
Resort Management is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
5.
Appropriate attire is to be worn at all times. No swimming suits allowed.
6.
The use of alcohol is not permitted unless specified at a Resort event.
7.
Please be considerate of the time spent on the computer in the library, so others may enjoy its use also.
8.
Restrooms are not for the use of pool bathers. Bathers are to use restrooms in the Winooski Bathhouse.
9.
All children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult when in the community center, with the exception of the fitness room.
10.
No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the fitness room.
11.
Use of the fitness room is at your own risk.
12.
No street shoes in fitness room.

POOL AND HOT TUB SAFETY RULES

Hours of Operation: 10:00 am to Dusk

No Lifeguard On Duty - Swim At Your Own Risk

In Case of Emergency - Dial 911
1.
Pool and hot tub are for resident and guest use only.
2.
Floats, arm bands, noodles, tubes, beach balls, and flotation devices to assist small children in the pool are allowed.
3.
Children under 12 must have adult supervision. Young children must be toilet trained to enter the pool. No diapers allowed. Campers are responsible for their guests and children while they are in the pool and hot tub.
4.
Bathers are to use the restroom in the Winooski bathhouse; shower before entering the pool.
5.
Use of the Community Center restrooms by bathers is not allowed.
6.
Radios, etc. are to be played quietly and kept away from the water.
7.
Observe a 15-minute time limit in the hot tub, then leave the water and cool down before returning for another brief stay. Long exposure in the hot tub may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting.
8.
Pregnant women; elderly persons; and persons suffering from heart disease, high or low blood pressure should not enter the hot tub without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.
9.
Do not use the hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers, or other drugs that cause drowsiness or that raise or lower blood pressure.
10.
Do not use the hot tub at water temperatures greater than 104°F and do not use alone. Enter and exit slowly.
11.
Prohibited: diving, running, or roughhousing; loud, boisterous and profane language; skinny-dipping; smoking; pets; glass or breakable containers; thong suits and cutoffs; spitting, urinating, soiling/defecating, blowing the nose, or in any way contaminating the water, walkways or dressing room floors. People with large, open cuts, scrapes, blisters, etc. are advised against using the pool or hot tub. Any person who is a carrier of any communicable disease shall not use the pool or hot tub.
12.
Apple Island Resort reserves the right to refuse admittance into our swimming facility when the capacity of the pool has been reached or when otherwise deemed necessary for health, welfare, or safety of our patrons.

The Resort and Management assume no liability for accidents or injuries and reserve the right to evict anyone not abiding by the guidelines of the Resort or for behavior which is detrimental to the Resort or its guests.
