Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory

Smuggler's Notch Distillery

The distillery was founded in 2006 at the foot of the famed Smugglers’ Notch, the site of where many clandestine bootlegger’s would run through this rugged Vermont mountain pass. Luckily, bootlegging is no longer needed to stop in for a tasting. Located 43 minutes from our resort.

Cold Hollow Cider Mill

This popular roadside stop on your way to or from Stowe is a must. Fresh apple cider, warm cider donuts, Vermont honey, hard cider tastings, and lunch options ensure there’s something for everyone in the group. Located 44 minutes from our resort.

Trapp Family Lodge

The real von Trapp family, from "The Sound of Music”, was a musical troupe that toured the world after their escape from Salzburg, Austria, in 1938. As the family business became lucrative, the von Trapp's purchased a small farmhouse in Stowe and settled down to live amid the mountains yet again. This turned into the Trapp Family Lodge. The trails and outdoor center are open to enjoy and tours are available to take part in. Simply driving though the property and taking in the view is worth the stop to many visitors. Von Trapp Brewery and Bierhall

After your tour or hike, you can grab a lager or a bite to eat prepared on the wood-fired Parrilla grill. There is also a gift shop. Located 58 minutes from our resort.

Stowe Auto Toll Road

Zig and zag your way to the summit ridge of Vermont’s tallest mountain, Mt. Mansfield, along the historic Toll Road, where stunning views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains await you. The road up Mount Mansfield is 4.5 miles of awe-inspiring natural beauty. You can park at 3,850 feet, relax and take it all in. We recommend a picnic, a camera, and taking a stroll at the top. Located 1 hour from our resort.

Stowe Mountain Gondola

If you’d prefer to park and see the view as the skiers would, this is perfect for you. At the top, you will find hiking trails and a waffle house for a sweet treat. There is room for a picnic and dogs are allowed. Don’t forget your camera! Located 1 hour and 5 minutes from our resort.
