Enjoy the thrill of the drive, the beauty of the landscape, and the camaraderie of like-minded automobile enthusiasts with Apple Island Resort’s Vintage Roads Experience, September 11-14, 2025. Set against the backdrop of New England’s Lake Champlain and Vermont’s stunning Green Mountains, Apple Island Resort has created a meticulously curated itinerary, tailored for car enthusiasts and includes an entire weekend of activities for both on and off the road.
Guests will have exclusive access to special events that celebrate the spirit of motoring. From themed gatherings to insightful discussions with fellow car lovers, to driving routes chosen to highlight the natural beauty and quaint charm of the region, every activity is crafted to enhance your connection to the automotive world.
Weekend Highlights
- Welcome Gift: Each RV Site booked will receive one Vermont Themed Welcome Gift with custom event merchandise, Apple Island merchandise, and other delights.
- Continental Breakfast: Each morning a continental breakfast will be included in your stay that features Apple Island Resort breakfast sandwiches, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and locally made Apple Cider donuts.
- Welcome Reception: The weekend will kick off with a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening featuring locale wines, grazing boards, and other appetizers.
- Friday Driving Tour of Vermont & Picnic Lunch: On Friday, after our provided breakfast, guests will enjoy a self-guided driving tour of Vermont with a number of interesting stops along the way. This also includes a delicious custom Picnic Lunch (no actual Vintage Car needed to participate).
- Dinner & A Movie: Friday evening, guests will enjoy a local artisan, wood fired pizza dinner followed by an auto-themed movie classic.
- Showcase of Cars: Saturday, those with Vintage Cars will have the opportunity to showcase their vehicle along with other enthusiasts attending Vintage Roads Experience at the breakfast area prior to another organized drive.
- Saturday Driving Tour of Vermont: Another beautiful drive through scenic Vermont. Lunch on your own in Stowe.
- Vintage Car Restoration Discussion: Enjoy a discussion with a local Vintage Car restoration expert.
- Closing Night Reception, Museum Tour, Dinner, & Entertainment: On Saturday evening, we gather for a private reception, entertainment, and a themed dinner in our ZMotorsports garage. A true highlight to top off the weekend is a private tour of the prestigious ZMotorSport Car Collection. Here, you can indulge your passion for cars as you explore an exquisite array of classic and contemporary models, each with its own story.
- Farewell Continental Breakfast: We say “See you again soon” with a Farewell Continental Breakfast on Sunday morning.

What types of Experiences are available?
We offer two 2025 VIP Experience Weekends: Food & Wine Experience from June 19-22, 2025, and Vintage Roads Experience from September 11-14, 2025.
Can I participate in the Experiences without booking an RV Site?
Experience Weekends are only open to those with Apple Island Resort RV Site bookings.
Is the cost of the RV Site included in the Experience Weekend pricing?
The RV Site cost is separate from the cost of the Experience Weekend since there are several Site categories available.
How is the cost structured for the Experiences?
The Experience cost is $495 per person. Each is carefully curated to offer something unique, allowing you to explore your passions in the breathtaking setting of our Apple Island Resort on Lake Champlain in South Hero, Vermont.
How do I book an Experience Weekend?
To book an Apple Island Resort Experience, visit our website ‘Experiences’ page. Click on RESERVE NOW and select the Experience you would like to attend. Once booked, Apple Island Resort’s Guest Relations will call you to select your RV Site.
Are there any discounts if I book more than one Experience Weekend?
Yes, there is a 20% discount when booking multiple Experience Weekends. We offer the Food & Wine Experience in June 2025, and Vintage Roads Experience in September 2025.
Can the Experience packages change from what is now listed on the website description?
Packages are subject to change as we will add more detail between now and the actual Experience date, so please check back regularly for the latest updates. Once you sign up, you will be on the mailing list for exciting updates.
Is there an Experience cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. To accommodate our guests while maintaining fairness, we’ve established the following cancellation policy:
- Cancellations Made 120 Days or More Before the Experience Date: Full refund of the reservation fee.
- Cancellations Made Between 90 and 119 Days Before the Experience Date: 50% refund of the reservation fee.
- Cancellations Made Less Than 89 Days Before the Experience Date: No refund.
- No-Shows: No refund will be issued for no-shows.
- Weather-Related Cancellations: If Apple Island Resort cancels an experience due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive the choice of a full refund or the opportunity to receive a credit applied to future stays or experiences.
- How to Cancel: Cancellations must be made by contacting the resort via email or phone.
I am allergic to all nuts and my significant other is Gluten Free. Can special accommodations be made for our dietary needs?
